Mark Fountain is the retired Chief of Police of the Springfield, VT Police Department. His law enforcement career spanned 38 years of dedicated service.

Throughout Mark's career he directed numerous criminal investigations, interviewing witnesses, victims and offenders. He conducted hundreds of employment background investigations, and every one was completed in a detailed and comprehensive manner.

As a patrol supervisor and a member of the command staff, Mark investigated citizen complaints, staff-against-staff complaints, and misconduct complaints. Some of these issues involved egregious acts being committed by department employees. Because of Mark's work, all offenders were held to account.

Mark has an abundance of knowledge and experience with day-to-day personnel and management issues, which he acquired through advanced training and in the various supervisory and administrative positions he held throughout his career. Over the years Mark worked with some exceptional law enforcement professionals, and he learned a great deal from them.
